Elementary Schools

Elementary students have 1:1 iPads with a full keyboard and trackpad case. These devices are integral to instruction and are used primarily for content creation, writing, and research. Consistent with our focus on productive screen time, iPad use is designed to promote active learning and student creation, rather than passive media consumption.

iPads stay in our classrooms to support student learning. Take-home use is uncommon and is typically limited to remote learning days or select, teacher-directed projects in grade 4. When take-home use is authorized, the classroom teacher communicates it to parents/caregivers in advance and requires principal approval.

Our students use a variety of apps and software tools to support learning. All apps and software are reviewed for data security and Ed Law 2-d compliance as well as how they support curriculum and instruction.
